The night of the AGPU started with a call from Gallopin to carpool. From his place to Thumper's. Then Thumper said he would be the "designated driver." We got to the Maple Valley park-and-ride and met FC there. Muddy Balls was supposed to be there, too, but rumor was that he was driving around a van load of high school cheerleaders. He arrived about 6 PM and swore it was a load of handicapped kids he drove around all day. After traveling for hours, we finally reached Rattlesnake Lake headquarters, where we were serenaded by the sound of water drums. Assma was shaking everybody down for food and beer money. L. P. was running around like a turd on a hot skillet, but was being very productive about it. We got the keg tapped, tables and chairs set up, and a "Hash training film" on the VCR. Rottencock arrived all dressed up in his seersucker suit, but I think he bought it at Coxe's. He and I helped L. P. by cutting up mushrooms and Where's seasoned the salmon. L. P. was zipping around the kitchen like the master chef he is and pulled off a great meal. After dinner, Abo read a letter from Snoballs who is in Saudi Arabia. We had a few jokes and an ice award to Rottencock and Short Cummings, and then the 20 hounds attending evacuated the place at 11 PM sharp. We started home on the winding road and some asshole got right on our bumper, blinding Thumper. The A.H. turned out to be the local sheriff patrol. He stopped us, made Thumper do some fancy finger tests, and then the hard part. Registration and proof of insurance. Thumper had about seven years' of insurance papers but could not find the current one. Finally the cop let us go (I think Thumper promised him a blow job or something) and we got back to the park-and-ride to find that FC had locked his keys in his van. Over to FC's for the extra key that he couldn't find, then off to Thumper's, Gallopin's, and finally home to a worried Mrs. Groper at 2:20 AM. What a great AGPU. On On, Groper
